Thursday we drove to Les Baux, the site of a medieval fortress hewn from the rock itself. There were amazing views of the surrounding area as well as remakes of medieval siege weapons like catapults, trebuchets, and battering rams. There were also drawings of what the castle had looked like before Louis XIII destroyed it in 1632. There was even a lovely rendition of a man throwing another man off the cliff (see picture).
